The Test
After you’ve already had a child, it is often easier to tell the symptoms of pregnancy quickly. After our first pregnancy I was able to tell before I missed a period if I was pregnant. So looking at those little pink lines wasn’t as much of a shock as the first time.
Whether this new pregnancy was an “accident” or “planned” doesn’t really matter at this point. Now what matters is taking care of yourself and your unborn child while caring for the one or ones you already have. That is what really makes a second (or tenth!) pregnancy so different than the first one. Trying to take care of your already born child(ren) through morning sickness, constant fatigue, contractions and everything else is a daunting task.
Not to worry though, you aren’t the only one that has done it or is doing it. You can handle it, but reading the baby books won’t help nearly as much this time. So perhaps this blog can give you a bit of advise and humor. After all, I am having our fourth.
Feel free to leave comments or questions that are appropriate to pregnancy and parenting through a pregnancy. Every applicable piece of advise we share with each other gives someone else something to ponder for their own families. Good luck during this pregnancy. I hope you can enjoy it!
